Half Brass to blow the Blues!

Whitness says he has been waiting for this one for some time.  Blues music today can sometimes seem dominated by guitar theatrics, but this will be a show to celebrate the contributions of brass musicians. We look forward to welcoming Chris West and Oscar Utterstrom and their halfbrass project.  Chris and Oscar are masters of the saxophone and trombone respectively, and round out their sound with friends on the tuba, trumpet and drums.  Expect to hear blues chestnuts from A.C. Reed, Tower Of Power, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Louis Armstrong along with live performances from Chris, Oscar, and the halfbrass gang.  Please join Whitness and the crew from the OmegaLab as they explore and experiment with the brassy side of the blues, September 1st at 10pm on Radio Free Nashville, WRFN.  Tune into 107.1FM or http://www.radiofreenashville.org to listen ~ Ammie
